
The Kansas City Royals dropped its fourth game in a row after being shutout 2-0 by the Seattle Mariners on Friday, May 22.
Both starting pitchers kept the game scoreless through the first six innings, with Noah Cameron going six innings with eight strikeouts for the Royals. Logan Gilbert went five-and-two-thirds with six strikeouts for Seattle.
Seattle pounced on the Kansas City bullpen in the seventh, with Mitch Garver drilling a two-run homer off Nick Mears to plate the only two runs in the game. The Kansas City bats were held in check the whole game, with Eduardo Bazardo picking up the win and Andrés Muñoz securing the save.
The Royals were limited to just four hits, two of them coming from Maikel Garcia.
The Royals fall to 20-31, currently fourth in the AL Central and ten games out of first place. The Royals will turn to Stephen Kolek on Saturdya to stop the skid. He will face George Kirby.Pregame will begin at 2:30 p.m., with first pitch at 3:10 on KMMO AM 1300.
