An inmate at the Boonville Correctional Center has been charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting another inmate on September 16.
According to a probable-cause statement, after viewing surveillance video, authorities say 34-year-old Anthony Gusoskey committed the assault on the side of Housing Unit 1 by the basketball court. The injured inmate was escorted to medical, and then he was transported to the hospital by ambulance due to multiple fractures he suffered in the facial area.
According to online court documents, Gusoskey has been charged with a Class B Felony for Violence to an Inmate at a Correctional Facility. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Gusoskey’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
