During the meeting of the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen this week, aldermen were updated on the progress of an all-inclusive playground at city park.
City Clerk Michelle Fuehring said Shannon Hall of the park board made the presentation.

According to minutes from the meeting, the area marked off is approximately 1,500 square feet. Fuehring said aldermen approved the location.
Fuehring said selecting the location for the playground is the first step in the process. Now they will await more information from Saline County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled Executive Director Ann Graff.
Fuehring said the playground will be similar to the one that opened at Indian Foothills Park in Marshall on June 8.
