The average high temperature slipped several degrees in January from December at the KMMO studio in Marshall.
According to statistics provided by the National Weather Service, the average high temperature was 39.1 degrees in January, as compared to 46.9 degrees in December. The high of 63 degrees was recorded on January 10.
The average low temperature of 23.9 degrees in January was down several degrees from the 29.1-degree average in December. The low of 4 degrees was recorded on January 21.
Measurable precipitation was registered on only five of the 31 days- totaling 2.56 inches in January, slightly up from 2.16 inches in December. Last month’s total included 1.37 inches on January 11.
