Felony drug charges have been filed against a New Franklin man who allegedly sold narcotics to an undercover law-enforcement officer nearly four years ago.
According to a probable-cause statement, on March 15, 2016, a trooper with a narcotics unit says he purchased one-half gram of methamphetamine and two oxycodone pills from Terril R. Jones for $45. The transaction reportedly took place at a residence in New Franklin and was recorded utilizing a digital recording device.
According to court documents, a warrant has been served and Jones has been charged with two counts of a Class B Felony for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Bond has been set at $4,950, with 10-percent surety authorized.
Jones’ initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
