A person wanted in connection with an armed robbery investigation led authorities on a high speed chase through multiple counties Tuesday afternoon.
Initial reports indicate the chase of a red Silverado pick up truck began in Linn County late Tuesday afternoon and continued through Livingston, Carroll and Lafayette counties down Highway 65 and into Saline. The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted in the pursuit with spike strips to attempt to stop the vehicle.
At approximately 3:50 p.m., the Marshall Police Department was advised of a vehicle failing to yield for another law enforcement agency. The Marshall Police Department assisted by blocking intersections to ensure the safety of the public.
Just after 4 p.m. the vehicle came to a stop and the suspect fled on foot at Highway 65 and Drake Rd. in Marshall. According to reports, the suspect has been apprehended and is currently in custody.
