Increasing by nearly 900 in a 24-hour period, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases is nearing 29,000 since the beginning of the pandemic in the state of Missouri.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, from 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, the total increased by 888 from 28,826 to 29,714.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by 10- from 1,093 on Tuesday to 1,103 on Wednesday. However, DHSS does not report how many patients have recovered.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 16.
