Saline County Commissioners cleared up a situation involving a transfer of funds that took place earlier this year.
During their meeting on Thursday, July 23, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. explained.

Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden said commissioners are restricted in what they can do with the money.

Guthrey said boring is taking place under I-70 and U.S. Highway 65 at Marshall Junction right now as the water project is progressing. He said painting of the water tower, which is just east of the junction, has been delayed. He said the target time is now the middle of August for that to be completed.
The half-cent Economic Development Sales Tax was approved by voters in April 2018 for improvements throughout the county.
