The Marshall City Council considered a couple of event requests during its meeting on Monday, March 2.
Cheyenne Friesz with the Saline Animal League explained the first request.

City Administrator David Haugland said: “We did share this information with all our staff members, and they had no concerns on either of the two routes.”
The council approved the 5K Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, March 14. The route approved will begin on South Lincoln Avenue and end at the new Marshall Dog Park.
In other news, due to a conflict with two requests for a block party on Saturday, September 12, the council approved one of the requests during a recent meeting. So, the organizer of the other event brought a new request before the council.
The council approved the request of the Midwestern Hydrocephalus Coalition to hold its block party from 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 26.
