Monty G. Marler, 76, of rural Sweet Springs, died Friday, March 13, 2020.
PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the new suggested CDC guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m.  Private family services will be held for the immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to your local FFA Chapter or to the Saline County Fairgrounds Association.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Survivors include four children: Larry Marler (Debbie) of Dexter, Theresa Marler of Sweet Springs, Malinda Marler and Steve Marler of Independence; the mother of his children, Betty Marler of Stillwater, OK;  several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Marler (Soja) of Owasso, OK; four sisters: Gayla Taylor of Bartlesville, OK, Twyla Scamahorn, Brenda Hedman (Oscar) and Marsha Hewitt (Floyd), all of Nowata, OK; his favorite cat, “Momma Kitty”; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Monty was preceded in death by his parents, Gail Marler and Doris Dildine Marler; one granddaughter, Tricia Renee Marler; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Scamahorn and David Taylor.
