A Marshall resident has been charged with a couple of felonies for an alleged incident in Saline County on April 2.
According to a probable-cause statement, a woman reported to authorities that Dvanta Randle came to her residence and said Randle used his shoulder and pushed the door in, breaking the frame and lock. The woman said Randle was angry when he entered the residence and grabbed her by the neck with both hands in an attempt to strangle her. The woman also said Randle yelled at her “if you ever do this again, I am going to kill you.” Then the woman said Randle left the residence.
Randle told authorities he went over to the woman’s residence to confront her about a video he sent to a separate ex-girlfriend of his. Randle said he knocked on the door and could see the victim through the window laughing. Randle said with his left shoulder, he pushed open the door. Randle said they did get into an argument, but he said he did not put his hands around her neck. He did say he put his hand on her chest and pushed down.
Randle has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree; and a misdemeanor for property damage. Bond has been set at $20,000 cash only.
Randle was arraigned on Monday, April 6. A confined-docket hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at Saline County Circuit Court.
