During the meeting of the Carrollton Town Council this week, the council was asked to approve a bid for street milling and paving.
Administrative Assistant Terry Bell explains the city received three bids.
In other news, Bell said the council also discussed the possibility of having a fireworks celebration this year for Independence Day.
In other news, Bell said the council approved the police department to purchase a 2016 Ford Explorer to replace one that was totaled in a traffic accident involving a deer. She said the total cost of the vehicle is $13,995, but the city’s insurance will cover $10,000 of that. She said the vehicle will be delivered to the city from Chicago in the near future.
