A probable cause statement says a Marshall Police Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of East North Street and South Redman just after 8 p.m. on Monday. When the officer approached the vehicle he noticed neither the driver, identified as Dillon Edde, nor his passenger were wearing seat-belt. A MULES/NCIC check of the driver revealed he was currently on Probation and Parole for Assault in the 2nd Degree and Burglary.
Edde was instructed to exit the vehicle and when asked for consent to search the vehicle, he denied the request. Officers requested the assistance of K-9 Razor to detect any illegal substances in the vehicle. K-9 Razor had indicated to the positive presence of one of four illegal narcotic odors his is trained to detect. A search of the vehicle revealed a grocery sack containing a digital scale with residue on it. A camouflage mask with a plastic container inside that contained a small plastic baggie with a green leafy substance, believed to be Marijuana, a can with seven clear plastic baggies, two of which contained a white crystal substance and a silver pair of knuckles.
Edde is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid, a misdemeanor weapons charge, two drug related misdemeanors, and a Seat Belt Infraction. Bond is set at $15,000 cash only.
Edde’s initial arraignment was scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 22. No other information is available at this time.
