
While the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Saline County continues to climb, so does the number of recoveries.
According to Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer, as of Wednesday, May 6, the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the county is now 211- up from 206 on Tuesday. However, 128 patients have recovered- up from 112 the day before- leaving 83 active cases, compared to 94 the day prior. Seven persons have been hospitalized, and no deaths have been reported.
Brewer notes the numbers are based on case management provided by the health department’s staff.
No further information will be provided about the infected individuals by the agency.
The Health Department continues to work on contact tracing to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the individuals while they were infectious. Those contacts will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and will be monitored for symptoms of COVID-19.
