An American Red Cross Blood drive is scheduled to be held from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24 at the Nelson Lions Club Building located at 206 Marshall Street in Nelson.
Red blood cells have a shelf life of only 42 days and platelets just 5 days, so they must be constantly replenished by volunteer donors.
