A 20-year-old Montgomery City woman was seriously injured in a head-on traffic crash in Howard County on Friday.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by Krystin Bartley, appeared to cross the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle, driven by 33-year-old Dakota Welborn, of Fayette.

While Welborn was not injured, Bartley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by MU Air Care helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The crash happened at 1:05 a.m. on Route P, just east of the of New Franklin city limit.
