Gary Lynn “Coop” Cooper, age 61, of rural Nelson, died Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, where visitation begins at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Heath Creek Cemetery in rural Nelson.

In addition to his wife, Carol; he is survived by four children: Sarah Holste (Charlie), of Lexington, Gary Anthony Cooper (Amanda), of Sweet Springs, Christine Shoemaker (Matthew), of Marshall, and Joseph Cooper, of Warrensburg; four stepchildren: Christopher Parks, of Sedalia, Brooke Morales (Alex), of Marshall, Emily Vesser, of Blackwater, and Trisha Vesser, of Blackwater; 17 grandchildren; one brother, John Cooper (Sherry), of Carrollton; one sister, Debbie Cooper, of Marshall; as well as many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cooper and Mary Long Cooper, and one son, Eric L. Cooper.
