The Salisbury R-4 School Board discussed the proposed tax-levy rate during its most-recent meeting.

According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, the board approved the total rate at $4.4697 per $100 of assessed valuation of real and personal property. That breaks down as $1 for capital projects (Fund 4) and $3.4697 for the incidents fund (Fund 1).

In other news, the board approved the Kelly Service Agreement on teacher and aide subs.

Also approved was a contract for 2020-21 with the Chariton County Nursing School for five hours daily during weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
