Area authorities are investigating after receiving a report of property damage on Friday, August 21.

According to a report from the Marshall Police report, a woman reported her property just off Highway 20 was damaged. The officer observed the damage to be a large hole in the ground and the grass and dirt to be disturbed.

The woman said at 8 a.m. she noticed a black object in her yard but not investigate at that time. At about noon, she said she walked outside and observed the damage and tire marks in her yard. The woman last noticed her yard not damaged was on Thursday, August 20. She said she never saw nor heard anything.

The resident estimates it will cost about $300 to repair the damage.
