After one day of no COVID-19-related deaths being reported in the state of Missouri on Monday, August 24, the number jumped by double digits and the total number of overall positive cases increased by nearly 700 on Tuesday, August 25.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases was 76,647- up from 75,944 on Monday.

The number of COVID-19-related deaths was 1,440- up from 1,426 on Monday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26.
