Mary Lou Behen, 88, of Sedalia, died Thursday, August 27, 2020.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Prayers of the rosary will be said at 9am; friends are welcome to come pay their respects until 10:45am at the church.

The funeral will be live-streamed on the St. Vincent de Paul Facebook page.

The family asks that masks be worn and appropriate social distancing be practiced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or the Sacred Heart School Foundation Robbie Withers memorial scholarship fund in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Mary Lou is survived by her children: Rosemary (Doug) Rundlett of Sedalia; Kathy (Larry) Archer of Jefferson City; Pat (Robyn) Behen of Jefferson City; Joe (Karen) Behen of Kansas City; and Dianne (David) Withers of Sedalia; her grandchildren: Julie (Brian) Jaekel of Sedalia; Beth (David) Gerke of Kansas City, MO; Adam (Michelle) Archer of Wildwood, MO; Jeremy Behen of Columbia, MO; Samantha Behen and Mikaelee Behen of Kansas City, MO; Eddie Withers of Sedalia; her great-grandchildren Austin, Tyler and Logan Jaekel of Sedalia; Drew Archer of Wildwood; and “soon to be” Kinsley Gerke of Kansas City; and her sister-in-law Mary Donahue of Sedalia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Sylvania Bryan Ash; husband, Robert “Bob” Behen; brothers Bob (Betty) Ash and Ken (Betty Sue) Ash; her sister Rosemary Ash; and grandson Robbie Withers.
