During his update at the council meeting on Tuesday, September 8, Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt talked about the mill-and- overlay projects currently taking place on several streets in Marshall.

Brandt said the chip-and-seal projects are virtually finished.

City Administrator David Haugland explained the city didn’t specifically schedule the work for the beginning of the school year.

Brandt also noted the Municipal Services has returned to its regular schedule, which means trash and recycling, as well as yard waste, pickup will begin on 7 a.m. on your specific trash and recycling or yard-waste day.

In other news, the council set the end-of-the-fiscal-year meeting for noon on Monday, September 28.
