
Another COVID-19-related death has been reported in an area county.
According to health-department officials, the total of deaths is now 10 in Pettis County. Eight more positive cases were confirmed on Wednesday, September 9, increasing the total to 837. With 10 deaths and 708 positive patients recovered, there are 119 active cases, including four persons hospitalized.
Five new positive cases were reported in Howard County, raising its total to 204. With 143 positive patients recovered- including 10 on Wednesday- and one death, there are 60 active cases, including two persons hospitalized.
Lafayette County reported five new positive cases, upping its total to 277. Due to three deaths and 221 recoveries, there are 53 active cases.
In Carroll County, five new positive cases were confirmed. With 98 of the total 106 positive cases recovered, there are eight active cases.
Saline County saw an increase of four positive cases, upping its total to 603. With 519 positive patients recovered- including one on Wednesday- and nine deaths, 75 cases are active.
Four new positive cases were reported in Chariton County, increasing its total to 58. With 41 positive patients- including three on Wednesday- released from public health isolation as recovered, there are 17 active cases.
In Cooper County, two new positive cases were reported, raising its total to 261. With 208 positive patients recovered and three deaths, there are 50 active cases. Eleven positive cases are travel related and 250 are through community transmission. In 137 congregate-living cases, 96 are inmates and 41 are employees. Thirteen cases are in nursing and/or assisted-living homes.
