
Anna Florence “Doogie” Malter, age 98, of Malta Bend, died Thursday, September 10, 2020, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, at Malta Bend Cemetery, with Pastor Ralph Varner officiating. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, September 14, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.

Born August 11, 1922, in Malta Bend, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. Stockman and Bevia Medlin Stockman. On September 1, 1940, she married G. Fred Malter who preceded her in death on December 21, 1996. She lived in the Malta Bend area her entire life and was a member of Malta Bend United Methodist Church and Malta Bend United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Malta Bend Extension Club and loved to play bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs.
Survivors include two sons, Don Malter (Olive) of Marshall and Tom Malter (Roseann) of rural Malta Bend; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Stockman and Francis “Squeaky” Stockman; and one sister, Virginia Ricks.
