The bridge over Tater Hill Creek on Route Z in Carroll County is scheduled to be replaced beginning next week.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says it has contracted with E & C Bridge LLC to replace the structurally-deficient 86-year-old bridge.
Crews plan to close the bridge to all traffic on Monday, September 21, and have the new bridge in place with traffic restored by mid-December. Drivers must use an alternate route during the closure.
This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
This closure is in addition to the road closure on Route Z, just south of Route C, due to a roadway slide.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
