
A Harrisburg man was killed in crash in Boone County Friday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the westbound motorcycle, driven by 54-year-old Noel Hertzing struck a deer, causing it to slide on its left side ejecting the driver. Hertzing was then struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by 55-year-old Elizabeth Cockrum of Harrisburg.
Hertzing was pronounced deceased at 6:29 p.m. by Boone County Medical Examiner Dori Burke. Cockrum, reportedly, was not injured.
The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. Friday on Highway 24, east of Hopper Road.
