Beverly Ann (Graham) Shobe-Butler, age 80, of Kansas City, died Friday, October 30, 2020 at St. Luke’s North Hospital.
A remembrance celebration service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, at Kaiser ~Wiegers Funeral Home in Higginsville, where visitation begins at noon. Burial will follow at Higginsville City Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Alan Martens, Aaron Martens, Mark Adams, Frankie Palma, Joey Palma.

Memorials are suggested to the family, to benefit area animal shelters.

She was born January 6, 1940 in Slater, MO to Walter and Helen (Sterns) Graham.

Beverly grew up in Independence, then moved to Odessa during high school and graduated from there. She lived in Lexington for a while. She married Jim Butler on January 23, 1967. They moved to Higginsville in 1973. After Jim’s death in 2001, Beverly moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, where she lived for 10 years before moving to Kansas City.

She was a data collection specialist at the Lake City (Olin) arsenal.
She enjoyed animals, especially the wildlife at her lake home and the many dogs she loved in her lifetime.

In addition to Jim, she is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Sue Ford.

She is survived by daughter, Kimberlin (Shobe) Martens (Alan), of The Villages, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Jones, of St. Louis, Melanie Palma, of Kansas City, and Aaron Martens, of Bartlett, TN; and nine great grandchildren.
