
Chester Eugene “Gene” Fisher, 69, of rural Lincoln, MO, formerly of Marshall, MO, died Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Brunswick Nursing and Rehab in Brunswick, MO.
Memorial graveside services with military rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, NOVEMBER 13, 2020, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, with William W. Harlow officiating. Face masks are strongly encouraged and social distancing will be observed. Memorials may be made to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born October 25, 1951, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Bennie C. Fisher and Rosa Jean Nelson Fisher. He was a 1969 graduate of Marshall High School and attended Missouri Valley College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam. On December 3, 2004, he married Phyllis Ballew Howerton who survives of the home. He was a concrete construction worker and also worked at Sierra Bullets. He lived in rural Lincoln the last 15 years moving from Marshall. He was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 5925 in Lincoln, American Legion Post No. 217 in Warsaw and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Countryside Foe No. 4286 Eagles Club in Lincoln.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Holly Morales (Todd) of Geronimo, OK and Crystal Fisher of Marshall; four grandchildren, Jocelyn Banks, Caroline Morales, India Workcuff and Amaris Butler; three siblings: Connie Fisher Cunningham (Gerald) of rural Marshall, Janet Miller (Ed) of California, MO and Dale Fisher (Sharon) of Macon, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
