
A three-digit spike in positive COVID-19 cases and two more COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Pettis County on Monday, November 2.
According to health-department officials, two deaths increased the county’s total to 28 since the beginning of the pandemic. The positive case count grew by 124 to 1,984. With 1,322 positive patients released from public health isolation as recovered and 28 deaths, there are 512 active cases, including 19 positive patients hospitalized.
Lafayette County reported 41 new positive cases on Monday. That raises the overall count to 946. A more complete report will be given on Friday, November 6, according to Lafayette County Health Department Director Tom Emmerson.
In Howard County, 26 new positive cases were confirmed since Thursday, October 29, raising its total to 483. With 442 recoveries and one death, there are 40 active cases.
Ten new positive cases were reported in Chariton County, increasing the total to 134. With 98 positive patients recovered, there are 36 active cases.
Updates were not available from Saline, Carroll and Cooper Counties.
