An area church is distributing meals to children one day a week for the next few weeks.

According to a flyer, Encounter Church at 1201 North William Parkhurst Drive in Sedalia will be giving out meals from 3 to 5 p.m. on Mondays through December 14 to kids 18 and under- while supplies last.

The flyer says each child will get seven snacks; seven suppers; and a gallon of milk.

It is a drive-thru only event, so you drive through and volunteers will load your vehicle.

Kids do not need to be present, but a parent and/or guardian must be present.
