
A felony charge has been filed against a Marshall man after a traffic stop on November 7.
According to a law-enforcement report, an officer observed a clear crystallized substance inside a clear bag inside the vehicle. The subject who was driving the vehicle was found to be in possession of a syringe and a bundle of money.
The officer also located two packages of clear baggies and a digital scale. The crystallized substance tested positive for methamphetamine. The driver was arrested.
Court documents say James Edward Brown is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and drug- and driving-related misdemeanors. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.
Brown’s initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
