An administrator in an area school district will receive an award in about two months.

A news release says Sedalia School District 200 Superintendent Steve Triplett has been named the West Central district’s 2021 recipient of the Emerging Superintendent Award, given out annually by the Missouri Association of School Administrators.

According to MASA, “The award is in recognition of outstanding performance in the demonstration of those skills that reflect the best in educational leadership.”

Nominees must be in their second or third year as a superintendent; have never served as a school superintendent in another state; and made a measurable contribution to their district.

Triplett says: “As superintendents, we do this work because we believe in the value of education to transform lives and the mission of providing opportunity for every student. It is humbling to be recognized with this honor, which also is an endorsement of the good work being done throughout the Sedalia 200 district.”

Triplett will receive the award at MASA’s Spring Conference in March.
