
A 28-year-old Nelson resident charged with sex-related felonies involving a juvenile in 2020 changed his plea in court on November 20 and is due to be sentenced Monday, January 4.
A probable-cause statement says on March 28, 2020, the victim expressed to her mother that she was experiencing physical discomfort from inappropriate sexual acts. The girl later described the incident in explicit details to a child-safe investigator.
Kenneth Dean Nease II withdrew his not-guilty plea that he entered on July 13 and pleaded guilty to a Class A Felony for Child Molestation in the First Degree; and an Unclassified Felony for Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree.
Nease was sentenced on January 4 to 25-years in jail on the charge of a Class A Felony for Child Molestation and life without parole for the Unclassified Felony of Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy, with the sentences to run consecutively.
