Saline County Collector Cindi Sims gave an update on the county’s real-estate and personal-property taxes collected during the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, January 14.

Sims said residents did a really good job of paying prior to the end of 2020, as the county was about $1 million ahead of last year in collections by November, and it stayed that way.

Sims recommends residents use the box in the circle drive at the courthouse to make payments.

Sims says setting up payments also is a possibility.
