A 25-year-old Niangua man has pleaded guilty to a weapon-related felony charge in Pettis County.

According to a Sedalia Police report, during a traffic stop on September 24, Justin Long was found to be in possession of a firearm and a bullet. Long has an active order of protection filed against him from the state of California, which does not expire until August 13, 2022. One of the conditions of the order of protection states Long shall not possess ammo nor possess/purchase a firearm.

Court documents say Long has been charged with a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Long entered pleaded guilty as charged on January 4, 2021. The court sentenced Long to serve four years in the Department of Corrections.
