
Two people are in custody relating to an investigation of a deceased person in Saline County on Wednesday, February 3.
According to a release from Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A Sergeant and Public Information & Education Officer Bill Lowe, the Highway Patrol responded to a residence in Slater to assist a Saline County Deputy regarding a deceased person. It was confirmed one person was deceased, and at approximately 6 p.m., the Saline County Sheriff’s Office requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control to assist with the investigation.
Lowe says the identity of the deceased female at the residence has not been confirmed at this time.
Two people are in custody, but their names are not being released until formal charges are presented to the Saline County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Once the identity of the victim is confirmed, her name will be released.
