Earlier this week, the state of Missouri launched a new partnership with Missouri’s Area Agencies on Aging to ensure seniors age 60 and over can have a streamlined and accessible vaccination experience.

According to the state’s website, seniors age 60 and over can take advantage of the benefits when they qualify for vaccination based on Missouri’s priority phases. A family member or friend may also contact an Area Agency on Aging on your behalf.

Area Agencies on Aging are a trusted resource, rooted in every community across the State of Missouri. They are dedicated to serving seniors and meeting all their needs, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. They will play a vital role as the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) works to ensure that every older Missourian has access to a COVID-19 vaccine.

Your local AAA can help you:
— Register for a vaccine, if you have not yet registered;
— Coordinate round-trip transportation; and
— Be reminded when it’s time for your second dose.

If you have already registered for a COVID-19 vaccine, your AAA cannot help you get vaccinated faster.
