
A 32-year-old Kansas City resident is facing a couple of felony charges following a traffic crash in Pettis County on Thursday, December 3.
Kyle Gabauer was arrested after he was found to be the driver of a stolen vehicle involved in a crash in Sedalia. The two occupants of the vehicle had left the scene.
Court documents say Gabauer is charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle; a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage Exceeding $1,000; and a driving-related misdemeanor. Gabauer posted $10,000 surety bond on December 17.
A warrant has been issued for Gabauer’s arrest after he failed to appear at his latest court proceeding on February 9 at Pettis County Circuit Court. Bond has been set at $25,000.
A Bond Forfeiture Review is set for 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 9 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
