A 38-year-old Sedalia man is facing felonies following an alleged assault that took place nearly a year ago in Pettis County.

On February 28, 2020, the Sedalia Police Department responded to the call of a domestic dispute, where a woman claimed Shiloh D. Best had struck her in the head with a hammer.

Best is charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. He posted $25,000 surety bond in March.

Due to inclement weather, Best’s most recent court proceeding has been rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 1 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
