A 31-year-old area woman charged with a felony in connection to the death of a Slater woman remains in custody.

Deseray Heyer was arrested on February 3 after authorities were called to a Slater residence where the body of 56-year-old Sharon Lamm was found deceased. Lamm had been reported as missing since January 30.

According to court documents, Heyer is charged with a Class E Felony for Abandonment of a Corpse. Bond is set at $50,000. She also is charged in a seperate case with and a Class E Felony for Assault. Bond for this charge is set at $10,000 cash only.

Heyer was arraigned on both charges on February 5. A Preliminary Hearing in this case is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17 at Saline County Circuit Court.
