Multiple drug-related items allegedly were found in a residence in Howard County on March 1, and a 31-year-old Fayette man is facing a couple of felony charges.
A probable-cause statement says authorities executed a firearms search warrant on North Howard Street. Authorities say they observed in plain view loose marijuana in a metal tray; a plastic baggie containing marijuana; two plastic baggies labeled “butter cup dreams premium cannabis”; and a metal grinder and a glass pipe, each of which contained marijuana residue. These items were observed in the bedroom of a 15-year-old juvenile. Noel Parkins was arrested.
Court documents say Parkins is charged with a class C Felony for Delivery of 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid to a Person Less Than 17 Years Old and Two Years Younger; and a Class D Felony for Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs in the First Degree- First Offense. Bond is set at 50,000 cash only.
Parkins was arraigned on March 2. A bond-review hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, at Howard County Circuit Court.
