
Two Pageland, South Carolina, men are facing a felony drug charge after authorities located a large cache of illegal substances inside the vehicle during a traffic stop on I-70 in Cooper County on March 7.
According to a report from a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper, with the help of K-9 Rony, he located 34 pounds of marijuana, two pounds of THC-infused edibles and some marijuana cigarettes. The vehicle’s two occupants were transported to the Cooper County Jail.
According to court documents, 24-year-old David Espinosa Martinez and 28-year-old Jonathan Espinosa Martinez each is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond for each subject is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
An initial hearing for each of the accused is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
