Due to heavy rain over the past couple of days, area roadways are closed due to flooding.

In Saline County, according to a MoDOT spokesperson, Highway 127 north of Sweet Springs is closed at Salt Pond Creek.

Also, according to the MODOT Traveler Information Map, in Johnson County, Highway 23 between Concordia and Knob Noster is closed at the Blackwater River.

In each case, drivers should seek an alternate route.
