A Marshall woman has changed her plea in a case where she was accused of using someone else’s information to open a credit account nearly four years ago.

The victim reported to authorities that he was made aware of an account opened in his name when he got a call from the credit company advising that he was past due on his bill. After talking with the company, the man was advised that the account had been opened in November of 2016 and had a total of $4,952 charged to the account.

Jeanie Marie Gabrielson is alleged to have opened the account.

On April 5, Gabrielson pleaded guilty to a Class D Felony for Identity Theft or Attempt and a Class E Felony for Fraudulent Use of a Credit or Debit Device.

The court placed Gabrielson on five years supervised probation.
