Saline County Recorder Jamie Franklin Nichols reported her office has been very busy recently.
At the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, April 15, Nichols said the recorder business is booming right now due to refinancing and the low interest rates.
Nichols explains what happens in relation to the recording process.
Nichols says a marriage-license system was put in nearly a year ago to aid in the process.
In other news from the meeting, commissioners approved Braiden Christy to be hired as a full-time employee assigned to the jail division of the sheriff’s department. His first day of employment will be Monday, April 19.
