
Two area residents are facing felony charges following the execution of a narcotics search warrant.
At approximately 2:50 p.m. on April 12, members of the Lafayette County Drug Task Force and Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence within Lake Lafayette in Odessa as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Authorities say they seized approximately 93 grams of methamphetamine; approximately three grams of marijuana; three sets of digital scales with crystal residue, which tested positive for methamphetamine; several used syringes; numerous broken glass smoking pipes, containing methamphetamine residue; a .22-caliber gun and ammo; two glass smoking pipes, containing marijuana residue; a glass pipe, containing methamphetamine residue; and several Ziploc baggies with residue.
Both occupants of the residence were taken into custody.
According to court documents, 53-year-old William J. Neeley Jr., of Greenwood, is charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs or Attempt in the First Degree; a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and two drug-related misdemeanors. Bond is set at $150,000 cash or surety.
Also, 38-year-old Sarah K. White, of Odessa, is charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs or Attempt in the First Degree and two drug-related misdemeanors. Bond is set at $75,000 cash or surety.
Each defendant pleaded not guilty on April 14.
Neeley’s next court appearance is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 28 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
White’s next court appearance is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 5 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
