Royce V. Pierce, 68, of Slater, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at University of Missouri Hospital-Columbia.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Newark Cemetery in Newark, Missouri.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born April 11, 1953 in Moberly, he was the son of the late Clarence and Oneta Abbet Pierce.

He is survived by four sons, Travis Pierce of Jacksonville, Missouri, Zach Pierce of Moberly, Joe Pierce of Marshfield, and Dalton Pierce of Hurdland; five grandchildren; a nephew, Jay Minor of Gilliam; and a niece Teri Leimkuehler of Fayette.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Coleman Hollandsworth.

Mr. Pierce worked for many years at Wick Homes, and was a welder and carpenter.  He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.
