Saline County Clerk Debbie Russell asked commissioners to approve three different commission orders during their meeting on Thursday, April 29.

Commissars approved the commission orders.

Russell also asked for consideration of approval of several liquor licenses.

Commissioners gave the green light to all of the liquor-license requests.

In other business, Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden said work on the water line for the project at Marshall Junction is progressing. She said contractors are at Marigold Avenue and working north. She said they didn’t give her an estimated percentage of the work completed, but she estimated the work to be 70 to 75 percent finished.

Also, a county employee reported some patrons have been putting out their cigarette butts in the mulch prior to entering the courthouse, and it has caught fire twice. Gooden said the commissioners will get a cigarette butt disposal receptacle and place it in the area.
