
Two Fayette residents have been charged with felonies after the execution of narcotics search warrants at two different residences only three minutes apart on Thursday, May 27.
According to probable-cause statements, members of the East Central Drug Task Force and Fayette Police Department searched residences in the 200 blocks of West Davis and South Vine Streets, respectively. Authorities say they located two small plastic baggies containing methamphetamine, 11 plastic baggies containing marijuana, a digital scale and other drug-related items at the first residence; and two small plastic baggies of methamphetamine, two glass smoking devices, three sets of digital scales and other drug-related items at the second residence.
Arrested were Megan Diane Brand and Steven Edward Woodard. Brand is charged with two counts of a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a drug-related misdemeanor. Woodard is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond for each subject is set at $20,000, with 10-percent surety authorized. Woodard posted surety bond on Tuesday, June 1.
Each subject was arraigned on May 27. Woodard’s next hearing is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15. Brand’s next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, at Howard County Circuit Court.
