Elvie Clifford Price, 79, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at his home.

He was born October 14, 1941, in Success, MO a son of the late Clifford Elvie and Velma Shelley Price. He was first united in marriage to Juanita (Offenburger) Limbocker, who survives of Sedalia. He later married Ruby Offenburger, who survives of the home.

After the death of their mother, Clifford and his brothers and sisters were separated at a young age. Clifford was taken in by Earl and Helen Thomas. He would go on to own and operate Price Construction for many years. With the help of his wife Ruby, they built Leisure Park, opening the arcade in 1994 and expanding the park to include miniature golf and finally a state-of-the-art go-kart track.

Clifford and Ruby enjoyed spending their winters in Quartzsite, AZ. He had a love for music and in his later years he enjoyed singing karaoke and going to music jams. Clifford loved his family very much and would never let family leave before telling them how much he loved them. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are his children, Alan C. Price of Sedalia, Lisa Price Bryant of Jefferson City, Erle Dene Price and wife Susan of Florence, Rebecca Lynn Swihart and husband Paul of Blanchard, OK and H. Lee Offenburger SGM(Ret) and wife Angie of Jefferson City; two sisters, Peggy Pearl of Tucson, AZ and Shirley Sankpill of Holts Summit; 13 grandchildren, Jessica Kirkpatrick (Chris), Jason Couch, Christopher Offenburger, Stephanie Offenburger, Kaitlyn Bissen (Kyle), Kristan Price, Elizabeth Bryant, U.S.M.C. SGT Erle Price Jr. (Erica) stationed in Japan, Joseph Offenburger, SPC Charlie Bryant (Andrea), Tori Price, Megan Offenburger and Nathan Offenburger; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his foster parents, Earl and Helen Thomas; his foster brother, Donald Thomas; two brothers, Bobbie and Frank Price; two sisters, Katherine L. Price and Molly Hill; a son Johnnie W. Price; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Price; and two grandchildren, Crystal Dawn Couch and Allison Paige Price.

A Celebration of Clifford’s Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
